Hello,

I am a mother of an autistic adult who participates in several extra-curricular disabled adult groups in Austin and Dripping Springs.

I am wondering if it would be possible to contact Gordon Hartman or his interlocutor to discuss funding a van or other vehicle for Brave House Community Center ( https://www.bravehousecommunity.org/ ).

Brave House is a property dedicated to host its members (consisting of disabled adults in the Austin and surrounding area) 4 days per month for community, arts, and life-skills development. Some of its members need reliable transportation to and from the property.

Michele Van Nostrand is the director of the Brave House organization and we have discussed several times that many of the members would benefit from a regular, routine, and reliable transportation in order to participate. Michele will have further details on what type of vehicle would be best suited; however, as the mother of Roger Hausler, Jr., a member of the Brave House community, I wanted to reach out to your organization to appeal to some kind of connection that would make the lives of my son’s friends and neighbors easier and more fulfilled.

The contact number for Brave House Community Center is 512-468-2399. My phone number is 512-228-8193. My name is Rebecca Hausler.

Thank you very much for your time on this matter and any thoughts you have on my appeal or any suggestions you have will be welcomed and appreciated.

Sincerely,
Rebecca Hausler

P.S. I was directed to your organization by Gerald Chavez from Approved Quality Care. He is a wonderful person who helps us meet our son’s needs and uplifts our whole family.
