Program Description:

The Respite Club offers three programs that run from September through May: Parents Night Out (on scheduled Friday evenings from 6:00p.m.-10:00 p.m), Teen and Adult Day Adventure (TADA) one Saturday(or Sunday) per month, and one Camping Weekend per month. Each program provides a fun activity for our campers while affording the families periods of much-needed respite.

Mission:

CAMP's mission is to strengthen and inspire individuals with special needs and those who care for them - through Recreation, Respite, and Education.

Ages:

0-12, 12-24, 24-36, 36-48

Who is eligible to receive services through this program?

Children and adults with a diagnosed disability or special need. Siblings aged 6 months to 13 years without an identified special need may also attend. Parent Night out age eligibility: 6months-13 years of age, TADA age eligibility: 14-40 years of age, and Respite Camps age eligibility: 5-40 years of age.

Where does this program provide services?

Parents Night Out is held in the Admiral Boorda Center, Bldg 3850 at Lackland ADFB. The TADA program is held at various venues through the San Antonio area. The Camping Weekends are held at our camping facility known as Camp CAMP is in Center Point, Texas. 2525 Ladd Street, Bldg 3850 Lackland AFB TX 78236

How are fees determined?

Fees charged to families may be based on income if the family chooses to provide that information. Many agencies who provide respite services will pay the majority of the fees for their clients. A limited number of "camperships" are available to families who can demonstrate a financial need.
